Student Fitness Center and McCormick Hall Grand ceremony

A dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Student Fitness Center and McCormick Hall was held Friday, Feb 8th.

Speakers included President Al Bowman, Vice Presidents Sheri Noren Everts and Steve Adams, Dawn Sanner, executive director of Campus Recreation Services, and Student Body President David Marquis.

Guests were invited to explore the facility with self-guided tours, and Kinesiology and Recreation (KNR) labs were open and staffed by faculty and staff members. In addition the KNR Wall of Fame on the McCormick Hall first floor lobby area was open, where a history of KNR and McCormick Hall was featured.

The 170,000-square-foot Fitness Center includes a pool, basketball courts, an indoor track, an indoor dual floor hockey and soccer rink, group fitness space, weight rooms, exercise rooms, classrooms and a 47-foot climbing wall.
