Barbie-2
Explored!
Photoshoot: Nov 19th 2009
Model: Barbie
MUA: Gemma @ Embellished
Strobist info:
2x500Ws monoblocks.
Camera right through 80x120 softbox slightly behind Barbie.
Camera left through gridded beauty dish providing...the smallest amount of fill ever.
This image is my attempt at something low key and on a fitness theme. It's based on an advertising campaign I was shown and was a good opportunity to experiment with lighting.
Some will hate the depth of shadows and contrast. I like it but then I know what I was aiming for - will be doing more of this style at some point. There are however somethings I'd change (slightly lower shooting angle for one). In the original there was a label across the chest which provided some context for the lighting which I think is lacking here.
